The Glennie School is an all-girls day and boarding school, located in Toowoomba, Queensland. Glennie provides a well-rounded education, from Kindergarten to Year 12, grounded by Christian values within the Anglican ethos.

The school is large enough to offer a broad curriculum, but small enough that every girl is treated as an individual.

We are a strong and vibrant community of parents, girls, staff and friends of Glennie working together with a common goal of supporting and encouraging all Glennie girls. We seek to inspire the girls to make appropriate choices for their future such that they can lead a happy and successful life.

Glennie is known for our outstanding facilities, education and pastoral care programs for girls from Prep to Year 12, while offering individual and contemporary boarding facilities to girls from Year 6 to Year 12. A Kindergarten program for girls and boys is also available.

Vision

To develop in each Glennie girl the intellectual, physical and spiritual potential to be All She Can Be®

Glennie girls are to be educated to the highest standards of which they are capable. In addition, Glennie girls are to be given the opportunities to develop their sporting and cultural talents through a rich, diverse and relevant co-curricular program. By achieving an understanding of their own spiritual dimension,

Glennie girls will make a positive contribution to the world with a sense of their own worth and character in addition to a well-developed sense of citizenship.

As well-skilled, well-rounded and well-grounded young people of excellent character, integrity and poise, Glennie girls will be able to be all they can be.

Mission

As a community where tomorrow’s women learn, our mission is to provide girls with dynamic opportunities in education, training and personal growth which develop their individual potential and prepare them for life. We shall incorporate traditional values within a caring, Christian environment, together with the best contemporary teaching methods and learning experiences.

Glennie provides a dynamic learning and living environment where tomorrow’s women are encouraged to develop their personal skills and social responsibility whilst engaged in rigorous learning, reasoned thinking and innovative programs.

An all-girls environment allows safe risk taking, is unbounded by notions of ‘girls versus boys’, encourages academic achievement and develops a greater sense of connectedness with the School and each other.

From Kindergarten to Year 12, Glennie provides the continuity and stability on which young people thrive. Each girl receives the personal attention needed to bring out her best. No matter what her age or ability, the Glennie curriculum is a challenge your daughter will love.

We incorporate the Australian Curriculum delivered by a dedicated and highly qualified team of educators. We offer a broad range of relevant subjects and programs throughout our three distinct phases of Junior Years (K to 6), Middle Years (7 to 9) and Senior Years (10 to 12).
