At TAS, we believe that education for our boys and girls is more than just academic achievement, but about giving them a broad range of opportunities to enable them to become compassionate, courageous and committed young men and women. With programs that build self-esteem, promote a sense of purpose and give confidence to face new challenges, our students develop skills such as leadership, team work and communication which will be a gift for them for life.

TAS values and promotes individual academic performance and effort from Transition (pre-Kindergarten) to HSC level.

Our Junior School, an International Baccalaureate World School offering the Primary Years Programme, comprises single stream classes that nurture individual curiosity. An award-winning Middle School (Years 6-8) has its own academic precinct, where home room teachers develop an understanding of each student's needs.

In Senior School (9-12), students have one of the broadest subject offerings of any school in NSW and are supported in managing the expectations of achievement, responsibility and independence.

A hallmark of TAS is its rich leadership, service and adventure program. Activities such as cadets (TAS is the third oldest cadet unit in Australia), surf life saving and Rural Fire Service are complemented by service trips and expeditions in Australia and overseas.

As a residential community, TAS seeks to combine the best qualities of home within an environment that is conducive to academic success. A high standard of wellbeing and pastoral care is central to the TAS ethos.

TAS is a member of Round Square, an organisation of more than 140 schools around the world that share similar values. TAS is also one of nine members of the Great Public Schools (AAGPS) of NSW. Together these two associations allow TAS to foster relationships of friendship with other member schools through service, exchange, leadership and sporting opportunities.

TAS Junior School is a certified International Baccalaureate World School offering the Primary Years Programme. In Middle School (Years 6-8) core subjects are taught in a homeroom setting, while students undertake elective subjects with senior teachers across the school, assisting with the transition towards independent learning.

In Stage 5 students can select 12 semester courses from more than 100 choices over two years, instead of the more customary three electives over four semesters. Across Senior School (9-12), students have one of the broadest subject offerings of any school in regional NSW and are supported in managing the expectations of achievement, responsibility and independence.
