Strathcona Girls Grammar School is a unique school housed over three separate campuses in Melbourne’s inner East, catering for girls and boys in the Early Learning Centre, and girls from Prep to Year 12.

We have significant experience and expertise in how best to develop the learning and character of girls and young women – we have been doing this for the last 92 years.
We are steadfast in our belief that the case for single-sex education is strong and that girls do better at girls’ schools. In a single sex environment, girls not only perform better academically but also enjoy greater confidence and have the ability to tackle challenges head on.
Our Early Learning Centre is a wonderful place for young children to explore, inquire, collaborate and become excited and naturally curious about the world.
Our Junior School learning experiences are enhanced by our state-of-the-art facilities, designed to meet the requirements of primary aged students. Our lively curriculum embraces diversity, facilitates key foundation skills and encourages the development of personal spirit.
Our Middle School program has been carefully designed to ensure a smooth transition to the Senior School and offers a broad academic program, supportive pastoral care and rich learning experiences.
Our Senior School curriculum provides extensive academic programs and a broad range of activities and leadership opportunities that continue to nurture and develop girls’ talents, skills and confidence. Through guided research, individual consultation with staff and study skills advice, Strathcona girls gain independence in their learning, preparing them for tertiary study and the challenges of a future career.
