St Andrew's Cathedral School is a co-educational Anglican school offering quality education to students from Kindergarten through to Year 12. Located next door to the Town Hall in the heart of the city in two high-rise buildings (with a rooftop playground), we aim to ensure our students are given every opportunity to excel academically, socially and in co-curricular activities. We are proudly known as a highly inclusive pastoral school, which aims at academic excellence, and has outstanding programs in music, drama, sport and outdoor education. We are highly engaged with our parent community and seek to connect parents with all aspects of their child’s learning journey.
Our pastoral care of students is based on authentic Christian values and the belief every student has learning needs and social/emotional needs that must be met in order to thrive in the complex 21st Century world. We have a comprehensive student wellbeing program that covers digital citizenship, social skills, leadership training and growth coaching, along with a host of programs that are designed to build resilience, character and mental health. We value every student and their contribution to the school and society.
The academic performance of our Year 12 graduates is consistently impressive, with our Senior College students able to choose between the Higher School Certificate (HSC) and the International Baccalaureate Diploma in their final two years of schooling. Our thriving Junior School is in high demand and renowned for its small class sizes and dedicated teachers.
Our tours during school hours allow visitors to meet some of our students and see the classrooms and recreation areas in action. To book your place at one of these events and to find out more about St Andrew’s, please visit our website at www.sacs.nsw.edu.au.
Our Junior School follows the NSW syllabus and provides specialist teachers in Science, Music, Art and Sport. Our Gifted and Talented program offers extension and accelerated curriculum and is in high demand. The International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (Years 7-9) and IB Diploma Programme (Years 11-12) deliver globally recognised academic credentials, with learning of a second language a key component.
